Following the earthquake recorded in Japan, the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated a monitoring cell to follow developments and ensure the safety of members of the Moroccan community living in the country.
The cell is responsible for coordinating the monitoring of available information, assessing any potential needs of Moroccan nationals affected by the situation, and maintaining contact with the relevant authorities and diplomatic representatives.
Japan, which is regularly exposed to seismic risks, has advanced prevention and disaster management systems. Japanese authorities continue to assess the impact of the earthquake and provide assistance to affected populations.
The Moroccan Embassy in Tokyo is closely following developments and remains mobilized to provide the necessary support to Moroccan citizens in Japan.
