JAIDA and CHARI have officially signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening financial inclusion, supporting micro-entrepreneurship, and promoting the development of Morocco’s Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE).
The partnership brings together two complementary institutions. JAIDA, a subsidiary of the CDG Group and a financing company authorized by Bank Al-Maghrib, specializes in funding SSE actors. CHARI, a licensed payment institution and a leading digital financial inclusion platform, provides innovative tools that connect informal and small-scale economic actors to formal financial services.
Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to improve access to financing for micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses operating in proximity-based sectors. These include local shopkeepers, small food service providers, urban mobility actors, and other entrepreneurs integrated into CHARI’s digital ecosystem.
The agreement focuses on developing tailored financing mechanisms designed to support income-generating activities and strengthen the economic resilience of these operators. By leveraging CHARI’s digital infrastructure and JAIDA’s financing expertise, the initiative seeks to reduce barriers to credit and formal financial services.
A key feature of the partnership is its fully integrated and impact-driven model. It covers the entire value chain—from beneficiary identification and digital onboarding to financing, monitoring, and impact evaluation. The use of digital channels ensures full traceability of financial flows, improved credit assessment, and rigorous tracking of economic and social performance indicators.
This structured approach positions the initiative within a broader vision of transparent and measurable impact finance, aligned with Morocco’s efforts to promote financial inclusion and sustainable economic development.
Ultimately, JAIDA and CHARI aim to extend financial services to underserved populations, stimulate local economic activity, and contribute to the strengthening of Morocco’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
