Morocco inaugurated its Pavilion on Tuesday at IFTM Top Resa 2026, the leading professional tourism trade show in France, taking place in Paris from September 15 to 17.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by André Azoulay, Adviser to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Samira Sitail, Morocco’s Ambassador to France, and Achraf Fayda, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT).
A 424-square-meter pavilion showcasing Morocco’s tourism offer
Covering an area of 424 square meters, the Morocco Pavilion stands as one of the key highlights of the Kingdom’s participation in this year’s edition of the leading French tourism trade show.
Its design reflects Morocco’s ambition to strengthen its international tourism profile, showcase the richness and diversity of its tourism offering and consolidate its position among the world’s leading destinations, according to an ONMT statement.
Morocco’s participation brings together 38 co-exhibitors alongside the ONMT, including Royal Air Maroc, Air Arabia Maroc, several regions of the Kingdom, travel agencies and hospitality operators.
Essaouira and Dakhla in the spotlight
This year’s edition places particular emphasis on two destinations that reflect Morocco’s tourism diversity: Essaouira and Dakhla.
Essaouira embodies a distinctive art of living, shaped by its heritage, its medina listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its cultural scene and its openness to the Atlantic Ocean.
Dakhla, meanwhile, is positioning itself as a destination for board sports, kitesurfing and MICE tourism, appealing to international visitors seeking new and distinctive experiences.
ONMT unveils a new book dedicated to Essaouira
The presence of André Azoulay at the inauguration also gave particular significance to the spotlight on Essaouira.
On the occasion, the ONMT presented its new coffee-table book dedicated to the “City of Winds,” entitled “Essaouira, Land of Encounters.”
Published by the ONMT, the book pays tribute to a city whose influence extends far beyond Morocco’s borders. It explores Essaouira through its history, heritage, cultural and artistic influences, as well as its unique ability to bring cultures, generations and horizons together.
The publication also highlights the efforts made over the years to establish Essaouira as an exceptional destination while preserving its identity and supporting its openness to the world.
Paris as a meeting point for Morocco’s tourism sector
Through its participation in IFTM Top Resa 2026, the ONMT seeks to make Paris a key meeting point between Morocco’s tourism offering and professionals from around the world.
The participation of public institutions, regions and tourism operators reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting a collective vision of Moroccan tourism and supporting its development on international markets, the statement adds.
