Google Gemini Becomes Official AI Partner of Morocco’s Atlas Lions

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced on Tuesday a strategic partnership with Google, naming Google Gemini as the official artificial intelligence partner of Morocco’s national football team, the Atlas Lions, for the period covering May to July 2026.

The partnership is part of Morocco’s broader efforts to modernize its football ecosystem and aligns with the vision of King Mohammed VI, which places sport, youth, innovation, and the Kingdom’s international influence among the country’s strategic development priorities.

Through this collaboration, Moroccan football aims to take a new step in integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the sports sector and building a modern ecosystem that meets international standards.

The initiative also seeks to support emerging talent, enhance fan engagement, and strengthen Morocco’s position as an African and global hub for the future of football.

As part of the agreement, Google Gemini’s advanced AI technologies will be integrated into several initiatives linked to the Atlas Lions in order to boost the team’s visibility both nationally and internationally.

Moroccan supporters will also gain access to interactive AI-powered tools designed to deliver a more immersive football experience.

Over the next three months, Google and the FRMF plan to launch several fan-focused activations. Supporters will be able to use Gemini’s “Nano Banana” text-to-image model to create personalized visuals supporting the national team, as well as the “Lyria” text-to-music model to compose chants and anthems for the Atlas Lions.

Users will also have the opportunity to use Google Gemini to better understand football rules, analyze match performances, and even predict game results.

“We are delighted to support Morocco’s national team during this historic chapter in its journey. Through Google Gemini, we aim to harness the power of artificial intelligence to enrich the fan experience and celebrate the rich heritage of Moroccan football,” said Najeeb Jarrar.
