The Kingdom of Morocco has called for the swift implementation and full respect of the agreement reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the form of a memorandum of understanding, considering it an important step toward regional stability and maritime security.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, the agreement is particularly significant as it helps consolidate the ceasefire and ensures the long-term freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a key maritime route for international trade.
Morocco also expressed appreciation for the mediation efforts that facilitated this diplomatic breakthrough between Washington and Tehran, noting that these initiatives played a decisive role in enabling progress.
The Kingdom further voiced hope that the agreement will pave the way for a broader resolution of outstanding issues in accordance with international law, thereby contributing to greater stability and cooperation in the region.
